While driving towards the coast from Olympia, it's hard to miss the unusual site of nuclear cooling towers looming over the landscape. The Satsop Business Park hosts a nearly complete, but abandoned, nuclear power plant. The project failed in the early 80's after failing to secure funding to finish construction with the towers being the most prominent part completed.
