Hidden in plain sight, along Market in Ballard is an homage to a era since passed: Hotel Albatross. With an unique backstory, creative entrees and tropical themed libations, Hotel Albatross brings to mind the tiki bars of the past. The Albatross' menu isn't something to pass over with puffy tacos , pinch buns and totchos that are a perfect companion to any of the exotic drinks. Stop in and hoist a planter's punch with friends. #seattle #travel #instafood #yum #delicious #eat #dinner #food #stuffed #hot #lunch #sharefood #delicious #eating #foodpic #tacos #hungry #bar #amazing #instagood #fresh #seattlebucketlist #follow #ballard #cocktail #discover #tiki #tropical #drinks

Throughout the Pacific Northwest are a variety of parks and greenspaces that cover a massive spectrum of landscapes. From majestic mountains to ancient forests to rocky beaches, the various park systems have something for every occasion. One of our new favorite parks is Hickman Park in Edmonds. While not a big park, Hickman provides many of the features that we look for: playground, picnic area, smooth trail for scooters, big field for playing games and, as a bonus, a great climbing tree right in the middle. So wait for that cloud break, grab a snack and visit your local park. #amazing #beautiful #naturelovers #photooftheday #mothernature #beauty #trees #sunny #park #blue #view #nature #pretty #amazing #playground #sky #landscape #sports #trip #picnic #naturelover #naturephotography #naturephoto #seattlebucketlist #follow #photography #outdoors #family #familytime #tree

As the winter sets in, we are always searching for new ways to keep active that are available no matter the weather. One of our favorites is a classic American pastime : Bowling. Although Seattle's bowling alleys are slowly disappearing, there are several holdouts where you can experience the agony of a seven-ten split and show off your victory dance when you pick up that elusive spare. From Lynnwood Bowl and Skate to West Seattle Bowl, Acme Bowl in Tukwila to the Garage on Capitol Hill there is a bowling alley for every occasion. So put yourself in someone else's (bowling) shoes and hunt an elusive Turkey for yourself. #seattle #sports #bowling #sport #active #turkey #lane #follow #seattlebucketlist #family #bowl #strike #exercise #fun #party #dance #score #strong #workout #bar #cocktail #urban #partytime #beer #stayactive #winter #wintersport

Seattle is home to Legends. From music to tech, sports to the arts, Seattle has produced trendsetters from all sectors. Perhaps one of the most influential of them all is Jimi Hendrix. With his impact on modern music still being felt, it's no surprise that Seattle has several memorials to him. One of the most accessible, is the life size bronze statue on Capital Hill. Created in 1997, the statue has moved around several times before settling at the location along Broadway. The site is a mini mecca to fans, who often leave flowers, cigarettes and occasionally whiskey at and around the statue. #seattle #travel #outside #hiking #wa #pnwonderland #music #pnw #hendrix #rockandroll #follow #urban #wander #washingtonstate #washington #seattlebucketlist #city #legend #musician #jimihendrix #outdoors #rock #discover #statue #famous
