In a city that is changing daily, Seattle's historic sites hold a special place for us. A lesser visted, but spectacular building, sits along the edge of the International District. Built in 1911, Seattle's Union Station is a step back in time. Originally designed to serve passengers on the Union Pacific railroad, the station sat unused for 30 years after passenger service ended. Renovated to its original splendor in 2000, the station serves as the headquarters for Sound Transit. The Great Hall is open for visitors and rentals. So walk through the doors and back in time. #seattle #travel #railroad #train #trainstation #unionstation #historic #history #vintage #rail #classic #building #urbanexploration #urban #city #cityscape #seattlebucketlist
