As summer draws to a close, there are a few more things to squeeze in before the leaves fall. One that was at the top of our list was picking the abundance of berries that spring up each summer. One of our favorite places for picking is Larson Lake Blueberry Farm. The process is simple: sign in, grab a bucket, pick and pay. At $1.50 per pound, this is a deal that is hard to beat, plus you get to enjoy the outdoors! #seattle #travel #food #eats #organic #handpicked #farm #berries #blueberry #blueberries #outside #outdoors #bellevuewa #wa #washingtonstate #washington #seattlebucketlist #lake #upick

Along Highway 101, the Washington coast hides magic. Between the old growth forest trails, the hidden beaches and meandering rivers, there is something for every outdoor enthusiast. Out of all the available locations there is one that combines them all: Ruby Beach. Sitting south of Forks, the trek to Ruby Beach begins at the edge of old growth forest. Following the trail to the bottom, brings you to the edge of Cedar Creek. Once you get past this watery border, the beach stretches before you. Ruby Beach is incredible to visit at any time, but the best time is at low tide when the seastacks create tide pools to explore. #seattle #travel #outside #hiking #wa #pnwonderland #beach #pnw #ocean #tidepools #nature #seastacks #wander #washingtonstate #washington #seattlebucketlist #river #forest #oldgrowth #driftwood #outdoors #camping #coast #pacific #trail

Tucked away at the end of the Eastlake Bridge is the small, but powerful park. The Peace Park was dedicated in 1990, created from an small lot strewn with abandoned cars and other detritus. The brainchild of Dr. Floyd Schmoe, winner of the 1988 Hiroshima Peace Prize, the park contains a statue of Sadako Sasakim, perhaps the best known causality of the bombing of Hiroshima. The statue is frequently draped with strings of paper peace cranes following the Japanese custom of One Thousand Paper Cranes. #seattle #travel #peace #park #japan #origami #cranes #papercrane #outside #outdoors #seattlebucketlist #washingtonstate #wander #explore

Along the Southeast edge of Green Lake Park sits a cherished Seattle institution. The Green Lake Pitch & Putt has been offering golfers of all skill levels a casual golfing experience for over 30 years. Requiring only a pitching wedge and a putter (hence the name), the course is made up of 9 par 3 holes that can be played in about an hour. With a round of golf that costs less than 10 buck (and club rentals for another buck) there is no reason not to grab some friends and hit the links! #seattle #travel #outdoors #golf #course #golfcourse #park #parksandrec #greens #greenlake #walk #sports #ball #holeinone #par #seattlebucketlist

Scattered throughout Seattle sits a wide variety of public art pieces, however, few of them offer the experience of Sonic Bloom. Sitting in the shadow of the Space Needle, Sonic Bloom combines art and interaction. Created in 2013, the sculpture was commissioned by the Pacific Science Center as an opportunity to spark curiosity outside of it's buildings. As you walk towards and past the towering flowers, sensors trigger music with each flower playing its own distinct set of notes, creating a unique symphony of sound. Bring 4 friends to trigger all 5 blossoms and compose your own symphony! #seattle #travel #seattlecenter #spaceneedle #parks #art #publicart #sculpture #free #outdoors #interactive #music #museum #sonic #bloom #flowers #solar #seattlebucketlist
